The World of Gothador II

Timeline

Five hundred years have passed since the events of the original Gothador. The demon wars that once threatened to consume the world have ended, but victory came at a terrible price.

The Shattering (Year 0)

The final battle against the demon lords unleashed magical forces beyond mortal comprehension. Reality itself cracked and splintered, breaking the unified realm of Gothador into isolated fragments floating in the ethereal void.

The Dark Age (Years 1-300)

Civilization collapsed as communities were cut off from each other. Magic became wild and unpredictable. Survivors huddled in fortified settlements while ancient knowledge was lost or corrupted. The demons, though defeated, left their taint across the land.

The Awakening (Years 301-450)

Brave souls began to explore beyond their settlements. Magical portals were discovered connecting realm fragments. Lost technologies and magics were slowly rediscovered, but new threats emerged from the void between realms.

The New Dawn (Years 451-500)

Multiple factions vie for control of the shattered realms. Ancient evils stir in forgotten places. Heroes arise to lead their people in the race to reunify Gothador.

The Continuing Story

The world of Gothador II is one of rebuilding and reclamation, but also of continuing danger. Ancient evils stir in forgotten places, new threats emerge from the void between realms, and the various factions of survivors compete for control of a shattered world.

Heroes must navigate not only physical dangers but also political intrigue, as they decide whether to restore the old order, embrace the new chaos, or forge something entirely different from the remnants of Gothador's glory.
